FAQ

Spinal Energetics:

  • Spinal Energetics is a gentle yet powerful healing modality that blends Eastern and Western philosophies. It works with both the physical spine and the body’s energy systems to release tension, trauma, and stored emotional patterns, helping you return to balance and flow.

  • During a session, I use light touch and energetic awareness to connect with your body and nervous system. This allows your body to express, release, and reorganize stored patterns—sometimes through subtle movements, sound, or deep rest. Every session looks a little different because it’s guided by your body’s wisdom.

  • Clients often report feeling:

    • Waves of energy moving through the body

    • Gentle, involuntary movements or stretches

    • Emotional release (tears, laughter, sighs)

    • Deep states of calm, clarity, or bliss

    • A sense of “reset” in the nervous system

  • No. While it works with the spine, it is not chiropractic, massage, or manipulation. There is no cracking, adjusting, or deep tissue pressure. Instead, Spinal Energetics uses awareness, energy, and subtle touch to guide the body into self-healing.

  • Not at all. Many clients come in with little or no experience in energy healing. Spinal Energetics interacts with the nervous system and body’s innate intelligence, which doesn’t depend on belief—it simply responds.

  • Every person is different. Some notice profound shifts after a single session, while others choose to continue regularly for deeper transformation. Think of it as a journey: your body will guide you to the level of healing it’s ready for. 3-6 Session is recommended for optimal results for most!

  • Yes. The work is very gentle and honors your body’s pace. Sessions are always guided by what your system is ready to process. You remain in control at all times.

  • Wear comfortable clothing and come with an open mind. 5-15 minutes of breathing. Hydrating beforehand helps, and giving yourself space afterward (to walk, journal, or rest) allows integration.

  • In-person sessions involve light physical touch, while online sessions are conducted through energetic connection via Zoom. Both are effective—clients often report the same level of release and transformation virtually as they do in person.

  • Anyone seeking to release stress, trauma, or tension, reconnect with themselves, or expand into a higher state of wellness. It can support those working with anxiety, chronic tension, emotional blocks, or simply wanting to feel more vibrant and alive.

Massage Therapy & Thai Bodywork:

  • Massage therapy usually takes place on a massage table and involves oils, lotions, and various techniques (such as Swedish, deep tissue, or therapeutic massage) to release tension and support healing.

Thai bodywork is often called “lazy man’s yoga.” It is performed on a comfortable mat on the floor, and the practitioner uses stretching, compression, and assisted movement to open energy lines, improve mobility, and restore balance—without oils.

  • Massage therapy can:

    • Reduce muscle tension and pain

    • Improve circulation and flexibility

    • Lower stress and promote relaxation

    • Support recovery from injuries

    • Enhance sleep and overall well-being

  • Thai bodywork helps:

    • Increase flexibility and joint mobility

    • Relieve muscle stiffness

    • Improve energy flow and vitality

    • Reduce stress and promote deep relaxation

    • Restore balance to the body and nervous system

  • For massage therapy, undress to your comfort level—you’ll always be draped for privacy.

For Thai bodywork, wear loose, comfortable clothing (like yoga or athletic wear) that allows for stretching and movement.

  • Sessions are typically 60–90 minutes, but length can vary depending on your needs. Thai bodywork is often most effective in a 90-minute session to allow time for full-body stretches.

  • Massage and Thai bodywork should never be unbearably painful. You may experience “good pressure” or release in tight areas, but I always adjust intensity based on your comfort. Communication is key—I encourage you to let me know what feels best.

  • This depends on your goals. For relaxation and stress relief, once a month may be enough. For chronic pain, injury recovery, or deeper transformation, weekly or biweekly sessions may be beneficial.

  • Not at all! Thai bodywork meets you where you are. The stretches are assisted and tailored to your body’s current abilities. Many clients find that their flexibility naturally improves over time.

    • Chronic back, neck, or shoulder tension

    • Stress and anxiety

    • Sports recovery and flexibility

    • Headaches or migraines

    • Postural imbalances

    • General relaxation and wellness

  • Yes. Massage and Thai bodywork may not be recommended for people with:

    • Fever, contagious illness, or acute infections

    • Unstable injuries or recent surgeries

    • Severe cardiovascular conditions or blood clots

    • Severe osteoporosis or bone fragility

    • Pregnancy (specialized prenatal massage may be more appropriate)

Always let me know your health history so we can adapt sessions safely for you.

Sound Healing:

  • Sound healing is a therapeutic practice that uses vibrations and frequencies from instruments such as crystal singing bowls, gongs, chimes, and drums to bring the body, mind, and spirit back into harmony. The sounds bypass the thinking mind and communicate directly with the nervous system, helping to shift you into deep relaxation and healing states.

  • Our bodies are made up of energy and vibration. Stress, trauma, and illness can create “disharmony” in the system. The frequencies from sound healing help entrain your brainwaves and cells back into balance. This can release tension, calm the mind, and support emotional and physical well-being.

  • People often report:

    • Deep relaxation or meditative states

    • Tingling, warmth, or waves of energy in the body

    • Emotional release (tears, laughter, or a sense of peace)

    • Vivid imagery, visions, or dreamlike states

    • Feeling lighter, clearer, and more balanced afterward

Every session is unique, and your body will respond in the way it most needs.

  • Not at all. Sound healing is for everyone, and no prior meditation or wellness experience is required. Simply lie down (or sit comfortably), close your eyes, and receive the sounds.

    • Comfortable clothing

    • A yoga mat, blanket, or pillow for extra comfort

    • Water to stay hydrated

    • An open heart and mind

  • Yes, sound healing is gentle and safe for most people. However, it may not be recommended for:

    • Those with severe sound sensitivity or certain neurological conditions

    • People with pacemakers or sound-sensitive medical implants

    • Pregnant women in their first trimester (check with your healthcare provider)

If you have concerns, always consult with your doctor or notify your practitioner beforehand.

  • That depends on your goals. Some people come weekly for stress relief and nervous system support, while others attend monthly or seasonally for realignment. Even a single session can have lasting benefits.

  • Yes! Sound healing pairs beautifully with yoga, meditation, breathwork, energy healing, and bodywork. It enhances relaxation and deepens the therapeutic effects of other modalities.

    • Private sessions are tailored to your specific needs and intentions, with instruments and frequencies chosen just for you.

    • Group sound baths create a shared healing space where everyone receives together, amplifying the energy of the experience.
